I stayed at Mama Shelter for 6 nights and this was my go-to coffee spot. I loved the staff, they were always so sweet. Try the dreamsicle (orange syrup and coffee), iced lavender latte and their own sweentened coffee. It’s all great to be honest! And tons of people drive by, park, jump out to get coffee and get on their way.

Tried and true. Always great coffee. Just tried their unsweetened matcha latte and it's perfect. Not too grassy or bitter but good flavor.

Mad Lab Coffee is a little coffee nook tucked on Sunset Boulevard and is adjacent to the Hollywood Athletic Club. They serve interesting and exotic coffee staples such as Creamsicle, which is an orange and vanilla blend that harken back to your childhood days of Yore. As well as the sunset mule, which is a mix of coffee, tea, or Chai with a ginger soda. My friend says chai with the Mule is a definite plus. They have seating on the outside with small patio tables as well. This is definite a quick stay for a quick drink, bite, and run deal, but it works for the busy space it's placed in. The coffee alone is definitely a good reason to give it a shot!

Mad Lab is a very charming hole on the wall coffee joint with some pretty unique beverage selections. I had the Pulp Figtion given my love of Fig Newtons and puns. I also ordered a plain croissant. The croissant was ok but hey that's what they call a croissant in Paris so fair enough. The Pulp Figtion was a quality iced coffee with notes of fig but also fruitier undertones closer to blueberry. The lady behind the counter was gracious and offered to replace it if I didn't like it (I have a hard rule against things back). But this drink was a delightful surprise. One last note about this little gem is that a few feet away is a street food stand owned by a Ms. Yolanda Martinez. I asked for an egg sandwich but her gracious husband offered to pack it with cheddar and hashbrowns on a buttery croissant. That big sandwich was 8 dollars! That was easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in a while, I highly HIGHLY recommend you check them out as well. So great coffee, great breakfast stand nearby, come by and try it for yourself.

Usually I'm skeptical about walk-up window coffee shops. The convenience of grab-and-go coffee is often at the cost of transactional experiences. Mad Lab proves me wrong. They are serious about their coffee, as well as the experience they provide. I've never had bad or even casual coffee at Mad Lab, hot, cold or fizzy, throughout different times of the day, with different baristas. It may not always be the most amazing cup of joe, it's nonetheless always nicely made a smile. Their baristas are wonderful, every one of them strikes me as capable, friendly and caring. When the place is not busy, I'd love to chat a little with the barista and I'm definitely not the only one who hangs out by the window. Mad Lab has a roaster in downtown LA and this is their only store. It offers a decent menu of coffee drinks, specialties, fizzy beverages and tea. They also carry Clarke Street pastries but the delivery won't arrive until around 9am and it doesn't last very long.

unique espresso, pairs perfectly with their mocha favorite mocha cappuccino in La they have other locations, all are small the espresso is always consistent though outdoor seating only, no bathroom

I visited on a rainy day, and the place had that comfortable, lived-in feel. My cold brew tasted fresh and balanced, not overly sweet, and the finish was really smooth. the line looked long but moved faster than I thought. the whole place felt tidy, from the tables to the restrooms. I’ll be back, and I’m bringing someone with me.

I stopped by here to grab a Matcha on my way to work. Love the cute little window and tables. I ordered the apple pie matcha and thought it was going to be overly sweet, but it was PERFECT. Honestly one of the best matcha combos I’ve ever had. I’ll definitely be back!
